FLE Receives an ‘Outstanding’!

FLE not only provides fishing lessons and tuitions, we are also providers of formal higher education courses.

Over the past 6 years we have been delivering courses which have been funded by Southampton City Council.  As you can imagine SCC only fund organisations who deliver the very best provision available.  As part of our framework agreement inspectors come in and observe lessons and grade against the Ofsted guidance to produce a score for your teaching standards.

Now achieving a grade 2, which stands for ‘good’ is an achievement, as any school teachers will know.  But achieving an ‘outstanding’ requires not only all the lesson plans, policies, procedures and planning to be of the very highest order, it also requires the teaching to be of the highest standard available.

We are very pleased to announce that FLE Manager Tom Oliver was observed last week and was awarded a grade 1 – OUTSTANDING.  This is the only grade 1 the observer has issued this year to people on our framework and we are extremely proud.  Fle Director Graham Mabey was inspected a few years back and also achieved the magic ‘grade 1’.

It is nice to know that the provision we are offering is not only of the highest standard with regards to what other coaches are delivering in the area, but we are actually delivering our learning to the highest educational standards across learning as a whole.

If you would like to find out more about our FLE courses head to www.flefishing.net or call the office on 07595 024363.  Please give Tom a high 5 next time you see him!  He worked very hard to get this grade and deserves the recognition.
