FLE is an organisation with a difference. We are not just a fishing tuition organisation, we are not only an outdoor education centre, we are not just a coarse fishing complex, we are not just a Laser Clay Shooting provider…. FLE is more than that. We strive to create a community centred around Angling and Outdoor Pursuits.
FLE is a belief, an understanding that doing an activity should not just be about instant rewards and competition. The outdoor environment is a powerful place, a natural place that we all have deep routed connections with. In our everyday lives, with the urgency and drama placed on things such as work, shopping, getting home to watch X Factor….. we have lost our connection with our grass routes – The Outdoors.
Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers are passionate about helping others access the outdoor environment and enjoy activities such as Fishing and Laser Clay Shooting. We also know what we are talking about when it comes to fishing and have some of the best anglers and facilitators in the country working with us. Team FLE is actually the reigning UK Carp Cup Team Champions and FLE’s Director Graham Mabey won the World Championship Gold Medal as Assistant Manager with Carp Team England in 2015. FLE’s manager, Tom Oliver, has made it through to the British Semi Final on numerous occasions, writes for national magazines and is sponsored by many UK companies. Come and visit the FLE Fishery and meet the team and you will see how passionate and devoted we are to the work we do.
If you can’t get down to the site then call us on 07595 024 363 and we will be more than happy to have a chat with you on the phone.
Come and join the FLE Community.
How is all started
In 2006, Graham Mabey was awarded a Big Boost grant for young social entrepreneurs from the Princes Trust. That funding allowed Graham to by some fishing equipment, laptop, a years insurance and the rest, as they say, is history!
We are a socially-focused business, we do not aim to create customers, we aim to create a community.
Come and meet our friendly bunch of staff and volunteers.
